To celebrate the 5th year of collaboration with Team Colpack Ballan CSB, the most successful development team in the history of Italian cycling, Cinelli has designed a special limited edition of the flagship racing frame, Pressure. Each frame is hand painted to order in Italy, following an intensively artisanal process developed internally Cinelli. The raw frame is painted with a white primer which is then sanded back by hand to create a streaked “camouflage” effect.

“I got the idea from another sport that is very close to my heart: windsurfing.” – Tells Marco Panzerini, Cinelli’s graphic designer and art director – “In windsurfing certain brands will paint their freestyle boards only with primer to keep things light and then lightly sand it to allude to the artisanal process of hand-shaping the board, which is not visible in the final product. What I’m so excited and happy about is that I took this process, which is something almost “secondary” in another product and transformed into the center of attention, and did it before anyone else!”

Team color decals are then added over the sanded-back frame before being coated in a gloss clearcoat. In this way each frame remains an entirely unique artisanal piece (as well as 4% lighter than usual production painted frames).

The Pressure itself is Cinelli’s flagship racing frame, interpreting the competitive rider’s need for full integration and aerodynamics through the lens of essential Italian design. The result is a lightweight high-modulus carbon fiber frame with extremely lively and aggressive road handling whose lay-up has been fine-tuned over a two-year period of testing with Team Colpack Ballan CSB.

Pressure Technical Description
Born to race, Pressure is the pinnacle of Cinelli’s road bike design language. Made from a high modulus T800 carbon fiber with proprietary lay-up tested and developed in conjunction with Italy’s premier development team, Colpack Ballan CSB over a period of two years, the Pressure synthesizes into a contemporary Milanese design language the performance cyclist’s need for aerodynamic tube profiles, integrated wiring and an aggressive road feel that pays homage to our historical Italian racing DNA… Various prestigious professional victories include the 2021 UCI U23 Men’s World Championships with Filippo Baroncini.

Featuring
The Vision Metron 5D handlbar’s ACR system, with fully integrated bar, cockpit headset and fork, coupled with the use of PU Molds in the curing for the cleanest and most efficient internal wire passage, emphasizes the purest aesthetic and Pressure artwork.
The aero seat tube and dropped seat stays are functional to best aerodynamics and stiffness and join forces with the other aero elements of the frame for best control and power.
The thru-axle and disc brake choice with internal wire routing allows for the cleanest and fastest design, in an overall geometry which leads to the most compact and aerodynamic position of the rider.
